  4. Cook till daal is tender, remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Finely chop the onion,ginger,garlic and coriander leaves.
  6. Peel and chop the tomatoes.
  7. Pierce or slit the chillies and leave them whole.
  8. Heat oil in a pan.
  9. Add in cumin seeds and let them sizzle for few seconds.

  12. Add in tomatoes and stir well to combine.

  18. Simmer for 10,15 minutes.
  19. Lastly add in black pepper,lemon and coriander leaves.
