  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add urad dal, chana dal, peppercorns, cumin, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, dry red chilli, curry leaves, peanuts, small onions & coconut in low flame. Grind to a coarse powder. Keep aside.
  2. Add tomatoes. Saute till it becomes mushy. Add brinjal with some salt & turmeric powder. Mix well for 2 minutes. Add a splash of water. Close & cook for 5-10 minutes
  3. Once cooked, add the ground masala powder. Mix well and close & cook for 3 minutes so that the masala binds well. Finally garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot.
